How tall are the trees? 

Deciduous trees are 6-8 feet on average Conifers are 36 inches.

 

How heavy are the trees?

They are 7 gallon containers weighing about 40 to 50 pounds.

 

Will they fit in my car or do I need a truck or trailer? 

We recommend a truck, trailer or a van to prevent damage to the trees.

 

Will someone be present to help me load and pick out a tree?

Yes.

 

 

If I can not be there can someone else pick up my trees? 

Yes, they must have your registration card.

 

 

Can I order over the phone? 

Yes, they must contact the County Conservation board at (328-5638)and make payment prior to picking up a tree.

 

How can I get an order form? 

You can download and print it from this page.

 

How do I get to your office to drop off a check? 

We are located in the court house annex located on the north side of the Pottawattamie County Courthouse.  The address is 223 South 6th Street Co. Bluffs, IA 51501.

 

Which one of these trees would be best in my yard?

What happens to my check if you do not have the trees I want? 

We send your check back to you.

 

 

I mailed my check in two weeks ago and received no response, did I get my trees? 

We send out a confirmation to all purchasers shortly after the last date to purchase trees.

 

 

I mailed my form in by the deadline, why did I not get a tree? 

Trees are apportioned on a first come first serve basis; there are limited numbers of each species.  The first individuals to send in a registration form have the best chance of getting their first choice of trees.
